The Ming Dynasty Peixian Town God Temple is located in the west of the city, the stone monument engraved in the Ming Orthodox seven years (1442).
City God Temple was built for offering sacrifices to the guardian deity of the city, which is derived from water Yong. The water is the ditch, the moat outside the city. Ancient people believed in the god of water Yong, thought can keep the city safe, later gradually evolved into the suburb of the city God God. The Taoism said that Cheng-huang was the god of "cutting evil and eliminating evil, protecting the country and protecting the state". He could stop drought and waterlogging, call for rain, and preserve grain and abundant people. So he was respected by the world and sacrificed on time.
