Pei County Museum is a comprehensive history museum with local characteristics. Established in June 1985, it is one of the earliest county-level public museums in Jiangsu Province. The museum is located in the northwest of Peixian Xincheng Cultural Center. The building area is 12,737 square meters. The main body has four floors, four basic exhibitions and two special exhibition halls, with a total area of more than 4,000 square meters.

In the hall of the first floor, the large calced-copper relief fresco "Return to Hometown" and the 5-meter-high bronze statue of Liu Bang mainly show the historical grand events of Liu Bang, Emperor Gaofu of Han, returning to his hometown after the establishment of the Han Dynasty, inviting the hometown elders to dinner, drinking wine and singing the wind song. "Qingshi Engrave History -- Stone Carving Art Exhibition of the Past Dynasties" focuses on displaying the Han Dynasty Fengge Stele, the treasure of Peixian Museum, as well as the fine stone carving cultural relics that witness the long history of Peixian. Dragon Flying Peize - Pei County Historical Relics Exhibition focuses on the history and cultural relics of Pei County before, after and after the Han Dynasty. "Weishan Lake Long - Weishan Lake Historical and Cultural Exhibition" shows the history, ecology and unique history and culture of Weishan Lake. "The Storm by the Lake - Pei County Revolutionary Struggle History Exhibition" shows the heroic deeds and historical stories of the people of Pei County emerging under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. The first room of the special exhibition displays hair embroidery works and watercolor paintings donated by Wei Jingxian, a hair embroidery artist from Peiji. The third hall of the special exhibition displays cultural relics donated by Pei Ji entrepreneur Wang Wei for the Belt and Road Initiative in Central and West Asia.

Peixian Museum has more than 2,000 pieces of cultural relics in its collection, covering more than 10 categories such as stone, pottery, bronze, jade, iron, ancient books, painting and calligraphy. There are 1 first-class national collection, 16 second-class national collection and 18 third-class national collection. Han Dynasty painted pottery is featured in the collection. Fengge Stele and Yuan Dynasty copy Fengge Stele for provincial cultural relic protection units and county cultural relic protection units.

In 2004, Peixian Museum was named as a patriotic education base by the Publicity Department of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee. In 2009, Peixian Museum was open to the public free of charge. In 2021, it was announced as "the most beautiful public cultural Space in Jiangsu Province". Pei County Museum, with its comprehensive display form, beautiful visiting environment, quality and standard service and unique local style, has become the main position of cultural propaganda and an important window for the construction of three civilizations in Pei County.
